Before, I used to just rate my teacher’s performance subjectively rather than objectively. I don’t even fill out the ‘Comment’ part at the end of the evaluation sheet.
Now, it’s different. I get to read the student’s evaluation of me with their comments.
It’s a humbling experience whenever you get to read positive feedback but it’s also a time for a self-check especially if you get negative ones. The important thing is, I get to assess which characteristics I should keep and which ones to improve on.
I’m just thankful that my first set of students (for the second semester last school year) were not that harsh.
