PieceofMind #2

Your dreams may not be possible now, but it eventually will. Just hold on to it and never let anything get in the way. Just leave it all up to Him and He'll work it out. Remember, God's time is the perfect time. -lekdeclaro

Having a Peek.

Opportunities come once in a while for some people. In fact, it rains on some people sometimes.

For me, an opportunity knocked just last month for me. A guidance counselor position was open at school and I decided to try and see if I am fitted for it. Although other people were somehow surprised by what I did, I still pursued my application. I went through the process (exam and panel interview), however, it wasn't given to me. Even though I did not get the job, I did not regret my decision because at least I took a chance and found out what He wants for me. I'd prefer that than being left with what ifs and regrets.

You may have to peek out through an open door at some point in your lives. Others may push you to try and see what's out there while others may hold you back and safely cuddle you in your comfort zone. But for me, it is better to try and see what's out there, to try and leave your comfort zone, rather than just stay where you are with a big question mark that will linger on till forever. Trying is better than doing nothing at all.

Bounce.

Because the road is rough these days, I can't help but feel helpless, frustrated and hopeless. But that's just the initial reaction of a human like me. Since I have a cognitivist and a believer in me, I decide to see things in a different perspective. I know everything will fall into place in His time. I just have to wait patiently, hopefully, and happily. Quoting Bo Sanchez, I may be in a pothole now, but I'll be bouncing back - a hundred times higher than where I am now. :)

Twenty-Second.

Birthdays for me is another time to be thankful for everything. I have spent my 22nd on the 12th and indeed, I have so much to be thankful for - the family, friends, love, happy moments, LIFE in general. There's a lot to give thanks to but sometimes, or should I say, most of the time, I fail to do so. I forget to thank HIM for the gift of life, for the safety and security HE provides day by day (despite me being paranoid over heavy rains, dark sky, earthquakes, and power interruptions). I forget to thank HIM for the family who stays strong despite the trials and who loves me in spite of the mistakes and imperfections. I forget to thank HIM for having someone to love who also loves me back regardless of the distance. I forget to thank HIM for always being there to listen to me when everyone else gets busy with their own lives. I forget to thank HIM for accepting me and for forgiving me a million times for all the broken promises I made. I just do hope and pray that HE won't get tired of me. I forget to thank HIM for the love and HIS promises. I even forget to say sorry for my wrongdoings, my unfaithfulness and disobedience. I know I am such a failure in HIS eyes but I want so much to mend my ways.

Now that I am a year older, i'll see the world in 'older eyes', in a new perspective - one that is much mature, assertive, and one that has firm values and principles. It has always been a habit for me to renew my ways every birthday and this year is no exemption. I just do hope and pray that unlike before, this one's gonna be for good. It's up to me, I know.

Gift from my SocSci family. :)

2012.

Happy New Year! It's a new year and despite all those 'end of the world' prophecies, I still want to think POSITIVE. Anyways, every new year, I always come up with my own list of resolutions. Although I end up not fulfilling my resolutions, I still make a list every year. And of course this year I have a few resolutions that I REALLY want to achieve.

1. SAVE! Aside from the monthly bills that I have to pay, I'm planning of saving for grad school and this month                           would be a great start.
2. LIVE HEALTHY. I still am on my way of gaining five more pounds for me to reach my ideal weight.
3. PRAY EVERYDAY. This would be a good way to start the morning and end my day. :)
4. BE RESPONSIBLE. Both in terms of time and finances.
5. BE HAPPY. Less grumpy.  :)
6. GIVE LOVE. Show the people how much I love them especially my family. :)
7. HAVE FAITH.

I just do hope that I will be able to achieve my resolutions this year in the hope of becoming a better person.  We'll see. :)
